French Macarons! I try these whenever I see them...especially when in France. Last holiday season, I made (after a few failed batches) a bunch of flavors as gifts. They are a truly finicky cookie treat but sooo worth checking the humidity and aging the egg whites! Crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside, these two cookies are gently joined together in matrimony with a buttercream or jam (sometimes both!). I hear even Trader Joe's has some decent ones in the freezer section. Try or enjoy some today.
